Title This: Impact Wrestling Reaction 12-15-2011

In Ring Segment:

Jeff Hardy is beaten up from Final Resolution, but is the number one contender, and the "creatures" will be world champion January 8th. Bully Ray comes out, says they have a match tonight. He says he knows Hardy better than anyone else. Also, he says he is not a stepping stone and will beat Hardy tonight.

I am okay with this, but I do not like the nickname "creatures" for Hardy's fans. It sounds creepy, childish, and more of an insect or animal than actual fans. I feel like it degrades them. I just personally do not like it. I do feel that Ray does know Hardy well, dating back to the WWE Tag Team days. Ray is a guy who can carry a match with his strength and experience.  Grade: B+

Wild Card Tag Team Tournament: Magnum and Samoa Joe vs. Robbie E and Douglas Williams:

What I Liked:

Good pairing for Joe and Magnum. I really think they can work well together, get to know one another, and create good offensive tag team wrestling with one another. The promise of these guys could be something to watch for in the future. Joe is not a main event single's star anymore in my eyes. He needs to be in a tag team to re-create himself.

What I Disliked:

Did anyone for a second think that Robbie E and Williams would beat Magnum and Joe? That tag pairing makes no sense to me. Completely different and has no actual chance to be successful. The match lacked overall progression from point A to point B.

In Ring Segment:

Devon, Pope, and the kids are out. Devon says they are his kids and will train them his way. Pope cuts him off and says the kids want a cool dad. Devon begins to attack Pope until the kids break it up. Devon hugs his kids, but Pope low blows him. The kids help Pope beat up Devon.

Honestly, I do not know what to think of this weird storyline. I do not understand where they want to go with it. For the first time, I am speechless. It does not make sense, and they already have a father/son angle going on with the Bischoff's. I felt like it was just thrown together to turn Pope heel. Grade: C-.

Traci Brooks vs. Madison Rayne:

What I Liked:

Madison Rayne carried most of the match with her experience. The two knockouts were decent, not great. They looks aggressive and wanted to rip each other's hair out.

What I Disliked:

The spotlight on two basically useless Knockouts. I wonder what is next? That is always the question in any angle or feud, and a clean win basically buries Brooks. It was just okay, and had nothing really that meant more.

Grade: D
