Jeff Hardy: AEW Tag Title Run Is ‘Within Reach’ After Overcoming Personal Setbacks

Jeff Hardy continues to target the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, Hardy was asked to describe who he likes working with on AEW Rampage. Hardy noted that he is trying to elevate himself back up to AEW Dynamite eventually. However, he stated that he’s still trying to give the fans their money’s worth.

“I think it’s a constant battle for me to elevate myself back to the Dynamite show hopefully, eventually,” Hardy said. “But yeah, it is kind of the B show, but you just go out there and still give the people what they want to get their money’s worth. Naturally, the ultimate goal for myself and Matt is the AEW World Tag Team Championships because we were so close before I got myself in the hell of a mess that I got myself into. But now that I’m coming out of that, it’s within reach. So we’re using the Rampage moments to hopefully, eventually create huge Dynamite moments.”

When asked to detail his mental state going into his current run, Jeff noted that it’s the last run for The Hardy Boyz. He also made it clear that he hopes he’ll have one final world title run. In doing so, Hardy stated that he would complete his redemption story.

“It’s like the last run, the last good Hardy Boyz run,” he said. “I still have hopes, deep within my soul, that I’m gonna have one more solo world championship world title reign. [Asked if he wants MJF] I mean, hopefully it’s somebody else. Every time I hear ‘The Devil on a Different Level,’ I just chuckle. That’s so silly. He’s a poet and he don’t know it. But anybody, man.

“It’s one of the goals I’ve set for myself, before it’s all said and done, to look back on it and say, ‘Yeah, you came out of our own personal bell and achieved a world championship within your personal heaven once again.’ That would just make everything complete.”

Jeff Hardy Wants To Make Moments

During the interview, Hardy was also asked to describe how much longer he has in the ring. He admitted that he wasn’t sure, but he intends to keep wrestling until he’s 50.

“I have no idea, man,” Hardy said. “I’m a big believer in something could happen before I get home tonight that would end my career. It’s just the little things that kill sometimes. But yeah. I can’t put a number on it. I feel like I’m gonna be rocking until I’m 50, so I’m 45 now. Between now and 50, I think I’m gonna create many more moments.
