In Ring Segment:
John Cena comes out and wants to talk about The Rock. He says he used to love Rock, but hates Dwayne. He says he does not respect The Rock and it dates back to 7 years ago. He said he may not have the acting talent, but he gives his all in the WWE and never leaves. He continues to mock Rock, saying the only reason he came back was because of Vince and to promote Fast Five and his Twitter. Cena says he loves being a professional wrestler. He says after Mania he will be wrestling while The Rock will be in a movie set.
What I Liked:
This is exactly what John Cena should be doing. He is speaking the truths and is able to get some heat and some cheers. I loved the work he did, he felt real, and you can tell he does not really like The Rock. They gave him freedom like they did with Punk, and he delivered. I want to see more of this, more of Cena rapping and dissing Rock. I enjoyed the sense of urgency he had in his voice.
What I Disliked:
Does anything Cena says in the next few weeks matter? This is not a smart internet crowd at WrestleMania. This will be in Rock's hometown and will have 85 percent of the crowd with him. Would it be better if Cena turned heel? For the time being, yes, but what happens when it is all over? The writers know what to do, and even if you hate it, they know how important this night is going to be in the long run. Well done, even though many questions remain. I felt like Cena was persuaying the crowd as well, which could hurt Rock. Who am I kidding, no it won't.
