Title This: WWE Smackdown Reaction 5-4-12

Randy OrtonThe Big Show and Randy Orton def. Kane and Cody Rhodes:

What I Liked:

Quick tags and hot offense started by Orton and Show worked in this match. Rhodes was the whipping boy, like usual, to start the match. Great chemistry by Orton and Rhodes here, really carrying the match with physicality and speed. The pace slows down with Kane and Show, obviously, and they continue to battle back and forth. It was realistic and fun to watch these two veterans go at it. They were given a lot of time, and capitalized. Overall, a solid tag match with a lot of action.

What I Disliked:

Hopefully this is the end of two feuds, as Rhodes needs to move on from The Big Show. I wonder if they can swap and give us Orton vs. Rhodes. It does not need to be for the IC Title to be important for both guys. That is unlikely, but the feuds have run dry. I wish the heels got the victory here, as it would have benefitted them much more. Let them steal one, as Smackdown is always about the faces standing tall. That seems to be the trend over the past few months.

Grade: B+

Layla def. Natalya:

What I Liked:

Both Divas showed they can actually wrestle. I would love to see this feud further after tonight. Layla is very athletic, while Natalya has the total package of in ring wrestling. The match wasn't too long, but there were a few good spots with actual wrestling. I will take it.

What I Disliked:

You can always complain about a Diva's match being too short or too meaningless. I am going to let this one go and say it was well done considering the time slot they were given. It was actually not awful to watch.

Grade: C+

Sheamus says he came to fight, as he looks pissed off.

Elsewhere, Antonio Cesaro and Aksana are doing a photo shoot. Eve says Antonio is looking a little dry, so she gets Teddy to rub oil over him.

AJ apologizes to Kaitlyn for the slap a week ago. Kaitlyn says it is okay, but the pity party needs to stop. AJ slaps her again and leaves.
