Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Forgettable Wrestlemania Matches

Number 6: Psycho Sid vs. Hulk Hogan: Wrestlemania VIII

Hulk Hogan

It was a battle of two heavyweights. One was established and the face of an entire company, while the other was trying to make himself known across the world. Hulk and Sid had an alright feud heading into Wrestlemania 8, but it was the match itself that did them in. Hogan will never put on a 5 star match, ever. Sid is not a guy that can fight with anyone, even though his physique and intensity couldn’t be matched. They tried and tried, but they were on two completely different pages. We later found out that Sid was not supposed to kick out of the famous Hogan Leg Drop, but did. This match ended the night, but it should have been Flair vs. Savage. I assume egos got in the way, like usual. Sid and Hogan should be forgotten by everyone. It was a bad match with no flow and had no level of importance once it ended.
