Dean Ambrose defeated Kofi Kingston to win the United States Championship

The world has witnessed the beginning of a new era. Dean Ambrose and Kofi Kingston put on an excellent bout, in which he was able to open up just enough of his offensive skills. Ambrose was busting out old school tactics throughout the match, while meshing with Kingston’s high paced arial assaults. I really enjoyed the fact that Kingston and Ambrose never slowed down and let the match drag. Ambrose showcased his strengths. I loved when Ambrose was knocked to the outside by a Trouble in Paradise. He sold it perfectly, when at times he over sells it. Finally, he hits his finisher (which I am not in love with) and began a really important build of a character in the WWE. Now we know why Kofi won the title off of Cesaro in quiet fashion a month ago.

The Shield defeated Team Hell No to capture the WWE Tag Team Championships

Roman Reigns

Even though this was predictable, The Shield picked up more gold later on in the night. Reigns and Rollins worked about a 12 minute match that was very well planned out. Kane and Bryan took control of the match early. Daniel Bryan showed why he is excellent in many avenues. He hit a classic surfboard stretch onto Rollins, while Kane took down Reigns. The pace picked up with a dive to the outside from Bryan and the faces were in control As the match progressed, we were able to see the new breed of wrestlers work in uneven numbers. The Shield have always worked over their opponents thanks to the number’s game, but this was a nice psychological touch to flip the switch. I loved Reigns in this match. When he was in the ring, he was able to hit a few clotheslines and corner attacks. He made the basics look stronger because of the way he attacked his weaker opponent. Bryan and Kane got on top once again, but Reigns would hit a spear onto Kane to pick up the titles. Team Hell No will not split up until they find a few faces to feud with The Shield. That is the problem with the division. Who steps up? This night is about The Shield. That is really the only interesting thing that is on Raw on a consistent basis.
