Wrestlezone’s Top 10: Worst WWE Pay Per View Names

6. WWE Breaking Point

This is a prime example as to why WWE should NOT allow fans to vote for the name of a Pay Per View. As WWE began testing new ideas, WWE Breaking Point was born in 2009 in Montreal, Quebec. The idea of the night was each main event match would be contested under submission rules. So, WWE gave us Punk and Taker, Cena and Orton, and DX vs. DiBiase and Rhodes. It does not sound bad on paper, but the name was just very generic. I find it shocking to see that Punk and Taker went under 9 minutes in the MAIN EVENT OF THE NIGHT. Some of the other options for names were Submission Sunday, Total Submission, and Submit and Quit. None of these were good names and the concept was one that only lasted a year. If it was Busta Rhymes starring in a movie named this, I might be more interested. Wait, nobody saw movie.
