#6 – Saturday Night's Main Event
Prior to Monday Night Raw, the WWE dabbled in network television with several projects, but the most successful by far was Saturday Night's Main Event. At the height of its popularity the show drew an 11.6 network rating for a special Battle Royal promoting the Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant main event at WrestleMania III. These went over so well, they spawned a little program called The Main Event, which hosted the Hogan-Andre rematch in front of 33 MILLION VIEWERS.
Saturday Night's Main Event was awesome. I want to watch it again. It's really as simple as that. For now, I'll settle for rocking out to the official theme song:
