Wrestlezone’s Top 10 Greatest Money in the Bank Ladder Match Performers

WZ Top TenThe Money in the Bank ladder match has replaced the traditional Survivor Series as one of WWE's two biggest annual gimmicks – the other, of course, being the Royal Rumble. There have been 14 of these ladder matches in just 9 years, since the concept's inception in 2005, at WrestleMania 21. It has made champions, kick-started Hall of Fame careers, and elevated every entrant that has tried to climb a ladder for a shot at the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase.

This Sunday there will be two ladder matches, and for the first time the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship(s) will be hanging above the ring. Now I know there are some people questioning WWE's claim that this is a "first time deal", and you're right in doing so. If the title is hanging over the ring, instead of a briefcase, what makes the match any different than a normal championship ladder match? Nothing. Literally nothing. You would be justified in arguing that the title match can't even be considered a "Money in the Bank" match at all.

Regardless, today Wrestlezone counts down the top ten greatest Money in the Bank ladder match performers. From shocking wins that propelled a new generation, to incredible high-flying maneuvers, these are the Superstars that have made the match special.
