Bray Wyatt defeated Chris Jericho

wwe summerslam reaction Bray sets up Sister Abigail but Jericho counters with Walls of Jericho. Bray is able to make it to the ropes and throws Jericho to the outside. Bray hits a DDT onto Jericho and then Chris Jericho comes back with a hurricanrana. He goes for a Lionsault but Bray bridges up and screams at him. Jericho looks petrified and is able to hit a Codebreaker. Jericho stomps him goes for a baseball slide kick, but Bray sidesteps and strikes him in the throat before hitting Sister Abigail onto the barricade. Bray rolls him back in and taunts him, then hits another Sister Abigail for the win.

First off, I criticized Chris Jericho for not having anything new in this return. The gear was the same, the lighting was the same and the music was. Tonight, he added the countdown and a new jacket. I loved it. I loved the theatrics of this match from beginning to end. The match was physical and had some great spots. Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho had a much better and smoother match this time around. It was not the best, but it was really solid for this part of the show. Expect a third match at Night of Champions.

Stephanie McMahon defeated Brie Bella

I wanted to see a cat fight, not a technical match. With that being said, this match was actually pretty good. The personal feud between the two has plenty of history. The match was decent with some submission moves and a few big spots. Brie Bella hit a Baseball Slide to Triple H when he tried to interfere. The biggest and most important part of the match is when Nikki Bella turned on her sister.

I understand what WWE is trying to do, but the Bellas work best because they are twins. Why would Nikki, after months of beatings, help her boss? I guess trying to talk logically is a moot point when you speak of fake wrestling, but I want to know why? Is she jealous? Why would she be? She didn’t get fired, didn’t have to quit for her husband, and didn’t have to worry about being arrested. In the grand scheme of things, this turn was necessary for Nikki to remain a piece in a bigger picture. What is that bigger picture?
