Rusev Continues His Domination
Rusev defeated Mark Henry
Rusev and Henry, who is hurt, fight once again. Rusev pretty much dominates the match and finally gets Mark Henry to pass out.
That was simple enough to write off Mark Henry again, right? Henry was a good opponent but was limited in what he can do with Rusev. I fear Rusev will fall back a bit right now because there are just too many heels that WWE views as more important. I really look around and wonder who else they can use to face him in this United States vs. Russia. Is there anyone on the roster right now that can fill this void?
The Sisters Continue To Feud
Nikki talks about how Brie has never supported her in anything she has ever done. She says it has always been about Brie. Nikki calls her an embarrassment and then calls her trashy and a quitter. Nikki says Brie should take Daniel’s name and bashes her husband. Brie attacks Nikki and she rolls to the outside. Out comes AJ Lee, who circles around the ring. Nikki and AJ Lee fight after the commercial break.
AJ Lee defeated Nikki Bella
Nikki and AJ work a pretty good match. Nikki throws AJ into Paige, who is at ringside. Nikki hits a big boot and tries to get AJ to tap out to an arm bar. AJ reverses the move and Lee hits a kick and then gets caught with an Alabama Slam. Nikki misses a shoulder block into the corner and AJ is hung up on the top rope until she is able to lock in the Black Widow. Nikki taps out and the champion wins in this non-title match.
Does anyone really care about the sisters feuding anymore? It seems to have lost a TON of steam. The match between AJ Lee and Nikki wasn’t that bad, but the action seemed much slower than usual. Paige and AJ Lee is still the real feud because it involves real wrestling and a focus on what matters and that is the ability to go from bell to bell. Nikki and Brie are still far behind from what AJ and Paige can provide.
