This match just wasn’t interesting…
Out of all the bad Hell in a Cell matches, and there are a few, this is the only one I struggle to find any redemptive qualities in. The one moment anyone remembers – where the Brood hung Boss Man from the cage – happened after the match was over. And even that can be argued as an example of how the Attitude Era went “too far” on occasion.
One thing you can say about the Hell in a Cell is that up to this point, each wrestler who stepped inside tried to bring something new and innovative to the concept. This just felt like a Cell match for the sake of a Cell match, and the whole thing fell flat. But hey, at least there were no dogs involved…
