Title This: WWE Hell in a Cell Reaction “WWE Knows It Needs to Move Forward with Young Stars”

Gold and Stardust Retain the Tag Team Championships

hell in a cellGoldust gets himself in early to save Stardust from an onslaught. Jimmy and Jey hit a double knock down and Goldust is able to punch him and solidify him in the corner. Stardust taps into his aggression and then rams Jimmy’s knee into the ring post. Goldy keeps Jimmy on the apron and hits a scoop slam for a two count.

Stardust continues the attack and the champions stay in control. Jimmy is able to hit a Samoan Drop. Goldust gets back into the ring and Jimmy hits a superkick and tosses him to the outside. In comes Jey, who flies to the outside and takes out Goldust. Jimmy does the same to Stardust on the opposite side of the ring. Jey heads to the top and hits a cross body for a two count. A kick, a Samoan Drop and another two count for Jey gives his team the upper hand.

The pace continues at a fast rate. Goldust hits a spinebuster and Jey is able to kick Stardust off the apron. Goldust misses an elbow from the second rope and gets met with a superkick. The Uso’s hit Gold and Stardust, in stereo, with superplexes. Stardust breaks up another pinfall attempt. Stardust kicks Jey in the knee and Goldust hits his finisher for the win.

There is nothing to complain about in this match because it was just pure entertainment, right? I agree on some ends. I finally saw a weakness in Jimmy and Jey. What else do they really do besides some superkicks, Samoan Drops and body splashes to the outside? I enjoy them and am not discrediting their talents, but this is a great time for them to add more dimensions to their offense. The champions retain and I can only wonder who is next to face them. I can see them being more faces with The Ascension coming up. I feel like it is now or never for them in NXT. They have nothing else to accomplish down there. They would be a jolt of fresh air on a weak Tag Team Division outside of these two teams that put on a great match.

John Cena defeated Randy Orton inside Hell in a Cell

Randy and John kick things off by heading outside of the ring. Orton punches away and then throws Cena into the cell. Quickly, Randy Orton grabs a steel chair and Cena hits a Fisherman’s Suplex. Randy fights out and attacks Cena with a steel chair. He hits him in the stomach and then on the back, followed by a DDT. Orton rakes Cena’s face on the cell.

John Cena hits a big clothesline and Orton comes back with a back body drop. He throws Cena into the cage once again. Two shoulder blocks, a side suplex and Orton counters with a kick to his face. Orton hits another powerslam and Cena powers out after two. John Cena throws Orton to the outside and then he presses Orton onto the cell. Orton counters, like usual, and throws Cena crotch first into the ring post. Randy Orton launches John Cena into the cell another time.

John Cena turns the tables and tosses Orton over and over again into the cell. Cena sets up a table and Orton hits a standing dropkick. He throws Cena into a steel chair. Cena hits a few shoulder blocks, but Orton hits an impressive RKO OUT OF NOWHERE.  Orton follows that up by sending John Cena into a table.

Cena hits a back body drop onto the steps and hits a 5 Knuckle Shuffle. Randy comes back with a low blow. Orton misses a punt and Cena locks in the STF. Orton escapes a launched steel steps to the outside. Cena hits an AA out of nowhere and Orton kicks out at two once again. Randy Orton counters another AA with an RKO. Cena puts Orton on a table and he heads to the top rope. Orton stops him, but John Cena hits an AA through the table for the win.

Say what you want about WWE repeating these two, but this was a great match. They used some of the cell, used chairs and used tables. Yes, it will not go down as one of the best Hell in a Cell matches in history. Hell, it will not be the best of the night. Randy Orton is so smooth and John Cena knows how to work. We need to keep it simple and need to appreciate two guys that can just WORK. Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena will happen again. Yes, I wanted to see Randy Orton vs. Brock Lesnar for a plethora of reasons. Unfortunately, WWE thinks they know more than us all.
