Isenberg Reacts: WWE Steps Up Game Two Nights in a Row

United States Championship

wweJohn Cena and Dean Ambrose put on quite a match at WWE Raw, one that was better than expected. I loved seeing Ambrose answer the open challenge, even though he lost. The guy seems to be booked as though he is “struggling.” This can only make his lunatic fringe even more intriguing to me. WWE just needs to be careful he does not turn heel, especially since he was so good at it. The guy is marketable, but needs to change his ring gear. I do not like the tank top and Jeans. Just jeans would be fine, but let him be unraveled in the next few weeks or months and actually book interesting storylines for him.

As for John Cena, the champ is back and will defend the title against Rusev again. I can see this happening at Extreme Rules in some sort of stipulation. Whether it is “Last Man Standing” or “Falls Count Anywhere”, this could help Rusev lose but still not looking completely foolish. He can lose with some sort of saving grace. I really enjoyed their match at WrestleMania and think they can go a few more months. I just do not want to see Rusev continue to lose to John Cena. One or two losses are okay, but more than that will hurt his main event type talent in the ring.
