Intercontinental Championship Update

wwe With Daniel Bryan becoming champion, a new movement is upon us. His first night as champion starts with a match against Dolph Ziggler. What else can you say besides “wow.” These guys put on a clinic of speed, endurance and athleticism. The drama was there and the friendship was seen throughout. I love a little healthy competition and think this is a huge step in the right direction. Sheamus comes out and interrupts, sporting a new heel look.

Sheamus turns on them and becomes a heel, just like that. This is obvious. This needed to happen. Sheamus needed a fresh look and an impactful way to return. Who better than Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler, two of the most popular guys in the WWE. I will tell you this: after the Intercontinental Championship feud between these three and Barrett end, look for Barrett and Sheamus to form a tag team. They could really be effective and utilize their skills on a stage that neither have done previously. It also brings former champions to the tag team division, one that lacks important stars.

NXT Stars Get The Call

WWE Raw featured two call-ups. Neville lost his first name, but won his first match. The guy is fun to watch in the ring, as his speed and energy seems unmatched. He hits you from all over and could be a very entertaining piece on the WWE main roster sooner rather than later. My only concern is where does he fit in? Is he doomed for a run with guys like Fandango, Rose, Ryder, etc? He is not going to be competing for any championship soon, so what is the point of him up right now? With his lack of personality, he may be difficult to mold into a star in a short time frame. He needs plenty of time to develop and could easily be misused by the writing team.

Lucha Dragons win a big tag team match, teaming with New Day. There is no doubt that Kalisto and Cara are entertaining. A fresh tag team is something needed right now and these guys have a chant that gets them over and offense that is simply fun to watch. I want more vocals from them. Let them get on the mic and develop a relationship outside of their masks and Hispanic heritage. They could be really good, especially right now in matches against Cesaro and Kidd.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.
His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
