The New Day Wins Again

wwe smackdown The New Day picks up a win on Smackdown against Ryback, Cesaro and Tyson Kidd. After two segments of wrestling, it would be Kofi that uses a distraction to roll up Tyson Kidd for the win. The New Day are continuing to garner a crowd reaction that is very natural. They were forced down our throats as faces and they are finally thriving as heels. I like that WWE did not give up and just “ran with it.”

The only thing I was confused about was the involvement with Ryback. He should not have been in this match. The lights and tease of Wyatt was interesting, but felt out of place. Since it was a 6 man tag team match, there was too much going on to really focus solely on Bray Wyatt. He needs his own segments and his own spotlight, not a brief tease in a 6 man tag team match.

Naomi defeated Emma

Naomi and Emma work a pretty decent match. Emma reversed a move into the corner and Naomi connects with a dropkick. She end up hitting Rear View for the win and Tamina attacks after the match. Tamina hits a superkick and the heels taunt the crowd.

Tamina is really good at being a bodyguard. This is taking a step forward for her, even though she was in the same spot with AJ Lee. Naomi needs this more than AJ Lee did because she has not gotten “there” yet. This is a positive in WWE trying to build up new heels in the Divas division.

Josh controls most of the creative writing and ideas for the show on a weekly basis, as well as an on-air talent.

Aside from working with WrestleZone, Isenberg began his career in Broadcast Journalism interning at ESPN and worked with CBS Radio for three years. He has also had the opportunity to interview some of the best athletes and performers alive, including Andrew McCutchen, Ben Roethlisberger, Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Steven Strasburg and others.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
