Isenberg Reacts: WWE Smackdown “Divas Get Deserved Time”

wwe smackdown Time is a very precious thing when talking about professional wrestling. If you get more than one segment, you are doing something right. Well, Divas Revolution got THREE segments on Smackdown. It started with a singles bout with Charlotte getting the DQ win, but it was quickly changed to a tag team match with her and Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks and Naomi.

Becky connects with three legdrops to really get the advantage for her team.Charlotte hits a rolling knee drop, similar to what her father used to do. Charlotte continues her offense with some flexible leg take downs. Tamina gets a cheap shot in, kicking Charlotte in the face.

Naomi comes in and hits a few shots to her face and chest area. Sasha gets the tag and she goes at it with Charlotte, controlling the offense with neckbreakers and some unique kicks. Backstabber by Sasha Banks into a modified Camel Clutch until Charlotte grabs the ropes to break the submission. Charlotte is able to buy some time and get the tag to Becky, who comes in like a house on fire. That does not last long, however, as Tamina gets involved again and Becky takes some serious shots. Naomi ends up getting the win for her team in controversial fashion, as her and Charlotte had both of their shoulders on the mat, but the win goes to Team BAD.

Three segments. Great storylines and development here. The Divas looked really good tonight and continue to put on great matches. I am all for this, but there needs to be more than match after match after match after match…. Get the point? What needs to happen is that one woman in each stable gets a chance to dethrone Nikki Bella.

Book Nikki vs. Charlotte vs. Naomi at SummerSlam. Let Sasha finish her NXT business and then you can really begin to develop more history and backstory with these women. Step in the right direction and keep stepping up. That is what is happening right now with the Divas. They get time and they succeed.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
