Isenberg Reacts: WWE Raw “Change Dolph Ziggler NOW”

The Land of Confusion

wwe raw King Barrett teamed with Sheamus to take on Cesaro and Neville. The heels won in a rather lackluster tag team match, but the real concern is about all four of these talents.

Man, has WWE really wasted these four young talents. Let’s start off with Barrett, who has changed gimmicks more than a woman changes her bra. From Bareknuckle Brawler to Bad News to King, Barrett continues to find NO LUCK in his solo career. Maybe he is right and that he should team up with someone. But, who? Will he really succeed there, in a division that is actually filled with talent?

Sheamus is a natural heel, maybe the only one (aside from Nikki Bella) on the roster. He plays his role perfectly and holds the briefcase. By holding the briefcase, does that make WWE think that he is fine floating in space with no real feud to build? He had a decent one with Ziggler, but why can’t we get some backstory, some depth and some personal connection with him and another guy in a feud.

Cesaro is spectacular, but it seems like he is NEVER going to be pushed to the spotlight that he deserves. I hold out hope, but hope fades fast. Neville is still young, but he is already in “John Morrison” category. He is so much flash in the ring that fans will love him, win or lose.

Kevin Owens and Ryback Win

Owens picks up a win against Kalisto in quick fashion. Ryback does the same to RUSEV. Yes, RUSEV. When you have a rematch for a mid card title, do you HAVE to have their counterpoints lose? Rusev was a monster heel, one of the best in 2014. Now? NOTHING!

Kevin Owens should never face a mid-card partner in a low-card tag team on Raw. This is a Main Event or Superstars match, not one on WWE Raw! Alas, a lack of creativity is KILLING a feud that could have been really good for Ryback and really great for Owens. Ryback NEEDS Owens and Owens can really help Ryback if they gave it enough importance on the card. Hell, the show is THREE HOURS.

Speaking of Rusev, thank the lord that he is not with Summer Rae. I am not sure where she goes from here, but Rusev needs a month off. You need to bring him and Lana back after some time off of television and pick up where you left off before WrestleMania 31. He is too good and she is too perfect for him not to be taken seriously as main event championship material.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
