Odd Pairing Between Del Rio and Stardust

wwe smackdown A third match in the tournament featured two heels. Two heels that are COMPLETELY different in every sense. Stardust and Alberto Del Rio did battle in a forgettable match. No offense to the actual talent, but I am not sure they know what to deliver in their characters. What is the role of Stardust? Is he supposed to be the good guy here? A guy who apparently cheers for Cesaro and has a heel tag team behind him?

What about Alberto? After defeating John Cena, he fights R-Truth two times, take a show off and then beats Stardust? Does WWE have any clue to what they are doing with these talented guys? I would have put Del Rio in a first round match against a guy like Dolph Ziggler or Neville. Hell, give him Titus O’Neil. Not Stardust. Del Rio doesn’t deliver a match well with a character as unique and meticulous as Stardust. Lastly, do you think Del Rio and Zeb are working? If you do, you might need to check yourself. It is confusing and really forced right now.

Wyatt Family vs. The Brothers of Destruction

The main event was an excellent one between The Uso’s and Wyatt Family. I am not taking anything away from the match, but the bigger story was that we found out Kane and Undertaker will team together to take on two members of the Wyatt Family. One will obviously be Bray Wyatt. Who will they choose?

It SHOULD be Luke Harper, an original member of the group and the best technical wrestler out of the entire group. HE can carry Kane and Undertaker with a nice combination of power moves and some agility added in there. Will he get picked? 50/50 shot of that. They might want to add fresh blood and someone that looks bigger and stronger than Kane and Undertaker

Erick Rowan – Yeah, no chance in hell.

Braun Strowman – He has the other 50 percent shot because he LOOKS just as big and bad as The Undertaker and Kane. I expect the Wyatt Family to lose at Survivor Series, but he will not get pinned. Bray should not either, so it is more likely to see Luke take the loss. I am very disappointed that this will not be a 4-on-4 match. What does it do when Undertaker and Kane squashed all four members on Raw only to face off against two of them in less than two weeks? NOTHING. The answer is NOTHING.

WWE missed on a great opportunity and I am not sure if they can light a fire back into this storyline. They are relying on the nostalgia of The Undertaker’s name to make this interesting and not compelling details building towards a finality.
