WrestleMania 32 Prediction Machine Part One: Championship Matches in Dallas

WWE Intercontinental Championship

Yes, many people want to see Chris Jericho as a heel vs. Dean Ambrose. It could set up for a great storyline and a great match, but isn’t the outcome predictable? Isn’t a heel Jericho only used to put over Dean Ambrose? Jericho has become one of the best heels in recent memory, but him chasing a championship he has held one too many times does not really intrigue me. Nonetheless, instead of a predictable Jericho vs. Ambrose,  I would love to see Dean Ambrose vs. AJ Styles. I think this is the way to go for a few reasons.

This is fresh. This is different. The outcome is not predictable. This can cater to all types of fans and there is no need for either to be a complete heel. It can give us a glimpse into what Dean Ambrose can potentially do as a heel down the road. Styles needs a single’s match and one of importance. If not this, Daniel Bryan. Being a realist, this is more likely than WWE clearing Daniel Bryan. The impact Styles has made needs to continue at a rapid pace. Putting him in a feud with someone like Dean Ambrose can elevate him to where Dean was at the middle of last year. That spot? Being in the main event, or close to it, of Pay-Per-Views heading into the summer.
