Kalisto vs. Kevin Owens

The champion puts his title up for grabs against Kevin Owens. It was all about Owens from the beginning. A seated senton, a few right hands and then a german suplex really gets the Canadian going. He mocks Dolph Ziggler on the commentary table and then Kalisto is able to hit an enziguri and a springboard for two. Kevin Owens gets back in control and throws Kalisto ribs first into the barricades. Owens clears the announce table and sends Kalisto on top of Dolph Ziggler. Kevin Owens hits a superkick and then focuses back to Kalisto. Dolph Ziggler holds onto Owens feet and Kalisto rolls Owens up to pick up the victory. After the match Owens attacks Kalisto in the back of the head. Ziggler tries to get himself some, but Kevin Owens ducks and heads to the back.

Great match and ring psychology from Kevin Owens tonight. This helped Kalisto continue to get the crowd support as being the underdog. Dolph Ziggler is the perfect opponent for Kevin Owens right now. Get a guy the crowd loves so much that you HAVE to boo Kevin Owens. As for Kalisto, it is okay for him to take a back seat tonight, as his feud with Alberto Del Rio is limited in descriptive storylines. He will be fine taking a Smackdown off without involvement with Del Rio or The League of Nations, especially since he faced ADR twice already in the past two months.

A New Look and a Same Result

Ryback took on Erick Rowan on Smackdown in new gear. Instead of the superman singlet, he wears plain black with a bit of red. I LOVED IT. Unfortunately, he was partnered up with the worst of the Wyatt Family members and was not able to really shine in ways we have briefly seen before.

Ryback has the same results each time in the ring, especially when he is not working with a guy like Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens or other talented guys. Braun Strowman knocks Ryback out of the ring after the match, which continues a random feud for both sides. I just do not love it. Maybe Luke Harper vs. Ryback? Why isn’t the most talented technical wrestler getting the push? Why is Rowan working more than him recently?

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
