Isenberg Reacts: WWE FastLane “Thankfully…Next Stop, Dallas”

WWE Intercontinental Championship

wwe fast lane

Dolph gets taken down early with a headbutt and then Owens yells at him about his hometown liking him more than Dolph. Ziggler wraps him around and tries to fight his way out of some headlocks. Kevin Owens whips Dolph Ziggler into the corner aggressively and takes control once again. A senton splash and more punches and kicks onto Ziggler before the champ applies a headlock. Dolph hits some clotheslines and then a swinging neckbreaker. Owens hits a senton on Dolph’s spine for a two count. Dolph moves and Owens drives his arm into the ring post.

A few splashes, elbow drops and the showoff gets hyped. Ziggler gets hung up on the ropes and then Owens hits a cannonball into the corner. An inverted superplex from Owens gives him the upper hand as both men are down. A big superkick from Owens, but Dolph gives him one right back. KO gets thrown into the steel steps and both men are down on the outside. A Fameasser does not give him a three count, but a Pop-Up Powerbomb gives KO the win.

A pretty good IC Title match tonight, although a few of their transitions seemed a bit off and sloppy. They recovered and worked very well together. The speed and intensity of Dolph was in full blast mode tonight, but it was the extremely smart and tactical heel in Owens that really pushed this match ahead. We knew the outcome, but the overall match was really good.

Do we see Kevin Owens vs. AJ Styles at WrestleMania? Where does Dolph fit in at Dallas? These are two super talented guys that are in limbo after tonight. There are plenty of fruitful options, though. It was really good, but not awesome.
