Isenberg Reacts: Impact Wrestling “Ladies Lockdown, Spud Shines”

TNA X-Division Championship

Trevor Lee sends Uno face first to the top turnbuckle and stomps on Uno’s chest. Lee goes for a German suplex, but Uno rolls Lee up for a two count. Tigre Uno hits a spinning heel kick and then climbs up the cage. Lee knocks Uno off the top rope. A clothesline and then a suplex from Lee gives the champion control.

The challenger Irish whips Lee to the steel and then hits a flying leg drop. Uno goes to the top rope and connects with a flying cross body off the top of the cage. Uno goes for the pin and Lee kicks out at two. Lee sends Uno to the steel. Lee with a high knee to Uno and then hits the Fisherman’s Brain Buster for the win.

I really enjoyed this match, but there was not a ton of usage of the actual steel. Yes, we have a few jumps and throws into the steel cage, but it could have been utilized much better and more effectively. Trevor and Tigre have a great chemistry and are putting on some awesome X-Division matches. More usage of your surroundings is the big thing that was missing in this match. Also, can we see more of an important role for Helms? If he is there, he should do more to get involved and put himself into a position where Lee can succeed and get to a higher level.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.

His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
