WWE is going back to the well here with a family member vs. a Club member. I am not sure I liked this match for Styles because I fear WWE using Jimmy and Jey with John Cena, something I have ZERO interest in. Let Styles and The Club work with Cena and new talent, not repetitive and unoriginal teams.

A great spot in the match was Jimmy hitting a superkick onto Styles from the top rope, which got him a close two count. Obviously, it was not enough and the great selling from Styles helped this match be better than an average one-on-one contest. Smackdown was not about Styles tonight, but that was just fine! He is doing some of his best heel work in quite some time and it is imperative they let him do his thing and not completely overexpose himself.

Tag Team Slowing Down?

The Vaudevillians took a pretty quick loss to Big E and Kofi Kingston on Smackdown. This was not the big topic of the night, with The Wyatt Family cutting one of their normal promos on the screen. I am still uncertain about this. First off, I really wanted The Wyatt Family to return in a high profile match, but The New Day are very over to the crowd. Bray got cheered on Monday and will always be a tweener. This isn’t good for New Day, though. They are so different, so will this backfire to the point where the fans do not care about the comedic relief from Woods, Kofi and Big E?

Also, I hated how this was booked. It was quick and made Gotch and English look weak. Believe it or not, they could be one of the best heel tag teams in WWE. This does not help at all, giving them a chance to shine and pick up a win in a non-title match. Instead, The Wyatt’s appear after the match. Come on! At least cause the distraction so the heel team can get a win.
