Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Shock Waves Through The Universe Equals Excellent Television”

Paul Heyman is out to apologize to Stephanie McMahon regarding Brock Lesnar’s actions at SummerSlam. He ends up belittling her by trying to pay her the $500 fine in $1 bills. She slaps it out of his hands and then says that there is a storm coming for Paul Heyman and that he is not valuable to her.

It ends up as Heyman apologizes to her, smirking and trying to get one past her, but everyone is going to ask “What is the storm?” This is an excellent question, especially since so many people are aiming for Goldberg. I love the interaction between two of the best non-wrestling mic workers in the game. They have had this chemistry for over a decade in the ring and you can tell that they try to one up the other slightly and with wit. So, will it be Goldberg or will they go to someone else? If so, who? It has to be someone established, right? Brock has gotten to the point where he is nostalgia, but is there anyone else that you can think of aside from Seth, Roman, Triple H, Taker, Goldberg? We have seen two of these feuds multiple times already, so who would be next?

Quick Hits

Sheamus picks up a second win in their best of seven series, now leading 2-0. I love this idea of Sheamus picking up consecutive wins and putting Cesaro under fire. I do think Cesaro ends up winning, but I can see WWE booking him down 0-3 and looking like the Swiss Superman. Either way, it is rumored to be helping one of these guys get a championship match. Will it be a match on RAW or will they give them a program to work around. That seems to be the issue with these two guys, not having a 2-3 month opportunity at CARRYING a storyline.

Darren Young picks up a win after an entire match of Titus O’Neil dominating. He rolls him up and then celebrates with Bob Backlund. Titus attacks again and lays both men out.

Tell me why this is interesting to anyone? I just do not get why they are doing this with them. They are much more interesting either as partners or NOWHERE near each other. A feud with two men with limited ability gives us limited creativity.

Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.
His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
