Isenberg Reacts: WWE NXT “Strong Debut and Strong Style Returns”

TM61 defeated Tino Sabbatelli and Riddick Moss

TM61 picks up a win on NXT and advances in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Thorne tries a springboard splash, but Tino Sabbatelli catches him in a powerslam. Moss and Sabbatelli take turns beating down Thorne, with multiple stomps and punches. As he is isolated, Thorne finally tags in Miller. Miller clears the ring and hits a vertical suplex on Moss. Sabbatelli breaks up the three count, but ends up taking the loss with a Thunder Valley.

I was not sure what to expect from the pairing of Tino and Riddick, but TM-61 are such great operators in the ring. I liked the speed of the match, but it never got out of control and over the heads of Tino and Riddick. As I have mentioned before, TM-61 are really good in the ring but need to get better acquainted on a microphone.

I really enjoy how the work, similar to a Brian Kendrick and Paul London team. They have that ability to be so good, but a developed gimmick will take them farther. WHO are they? WHAT are they? Those are two questions that should be answered.

Samoa Joe Gets What He Wanted

Blake and Murphy battled for a few minutes until Samoa Joe came out of nowhere and destroyed both men. He calls out Regal and says he wants Nakamura. The crowd is chanting for the champion and out comes Shinsuke. Shinsuke Nakamura walks out on the stage with a neck brace. He takes it off and runs to the ring. Both men battle and brawl, while security and officials separate both men. Fever pitch was at a high and ended on a great note.

A great ending of NXT and FINALLY Shinsuke Nakamura makes his return. I hated how long he was off of television, but he got the reaction he always gets. This feud could be one of NXT’s best and you have to credit both men. Joe is an excellent heel, old school and really focused on his craft. Shinsuke is a superstar and does what superstars are paid to do.

These two could feud for 2-3 more months and nobody would complain. That is something special and the energy and electricity from both men tonight was great and will really be in full force heading into NXT in Toronto. Good stuff and a solid show tonight.
