Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “Don’t Worry About Goldberg”

Building the Women of Team RAW

Captain Charlotte comes out and talks about her win on Sunday. She focuses her attention on being captain and heading her team into Survivor Series. She says there is a weak link and calls out Bayley. Bayley talks about how success has changed Charlotte and that she does not even know who she is anymore. Bayley is then called a dreamer, while Charlotte does. Charlotte says Bayley is the weak link and needs to be tested. Out comes Nia Jax.

The match between Bayley and Jax was interesting to me. We know the star power of Bayley, but how can she overcome someone over a hundred pounds heavier and stronger than her. Bayley hits a running bulldog and throws herself into Nia. Nia drops Bayley with a running lariat and then heads to the top rope. Bayley goes for the Bayley to Belly, but Nia headbutt’s Bayley and Bayley falls to the outside. Nia plants Bayley with the Samoan Drop to pickup the victory.

WWE Raw gave us some insight into the next few weeks, not years. Nia Jax is great and will always be a sight to see. She is more than just a big woman in the ring. She is smart and knows what to do and when to pander to the crowd. Does losing hurt Bayley? I am not sure. It might in the near future, especially since you are getting so much average development from her. I am a huge Bayley fan, but I do think there needs to be more seriousness in her game.

The Odd Couple Continues

As I mentioned Monday morning, Sheamus and Cesaro will continue to be a tag team and have some time to grow. Their match at Hell in a Cell showed that WWE will want them to be used in some capacity until 2017. They are really good together and I think you can tell they enjoy working with one another as a tag team. Yes, they are going to bicker like brothers for a few weeks and even past Survivor Series. It will make either their championship win or inevitable split feel more important. A win over the Shining Stars on WWE RAW was just a reset and an average match. You would imagine they would be added to The New Day and their Survivor Series team.

Aside from working with WrestleZone, Isenberg began his career in Broadcast Journalism interning at ESPN and worked with CBS Radio for three years. He has also had the opportunity to interview some of the best athletes and performers alive, including Andrew McCutchen, Ben Roethlisberger, Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Karl Anderson, Matt Hardy, Steven Strasburg and others.
Currently, Josh Isenberg works for Major League Baseball in their Advanced Media Productions. He grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Point Park University, which is where Chair Shot Reality is filmed each week.
His life outside of his obsession with wrestling include being a savant for Seinfeld, NFL, NBA, MLB and many television shows. He also has an undying love for musicals, which includes many shows he was a part of in high school. Some of his favorite wrestling moments can be linked to such superstars as Edge, The Rock, Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and The Great Khali.
