The Smackdown Live Women’s Champion took on a masked opponent on Smackdown, ordered by Daniel Bryan. A quick bout that saw Alexa Bliss tap out to an armbar submission hold. As the match was over, The mask comes off and Becky Lynch reveals her face. Next week, a championship match between the two takes place.

Funny and clever. The match was not all that exciting, but I like the effort in creating something different for the women. Everyone most likely knew that Becky Lynch was under the mask, especially when she applied her submission move. I am really digging the Alexa Bliss character and her backstage segments are giving her more opportunities to showcase her personality. She fits the character perfectly with her attitude, look and demeanor. She has great facial features when talking and really thrives in being the bad girl. It also helps when she is working with a fine tuned competitor in Becky Lynch.

Mojo Rawley defeated Curt Hawkins

The next few months will be interesting to see, as Mojo will have to go solo. With Zack Ryder out, they are still trying to capitalize on a young and strong competitor, giving Rawley the win over Curt Hawkins.

I remember being excited to see him return. I loved his work earlier in WWE and he recreated himself in the indies, but Curt Hawkins is not being given a chance to make a statement, to make an impact. The money is there for him, but I question if there was another reason he would come back? I would not mind him and Ryder back together, especially on a depleted roster on Smackdown, but that will have to wait. At the end of the day, is Curt Hawkins ever going to get a good singles run? Or, is WWE wanting Mojo Rawley to success because of his connections outside of the WWE ring?
