Isenberg Reacts: WWE NXT ” A Night of Glorious Sanity”

The Revival, Women and More

Plenty of talent are in limbo on NXT. The Revival picked up a solid win and set their sights on The Authors of Pain. They ended up attacking them and trying to run away with their championships. They are still calling themselves the best tag team in the world, which is hard to argue.

Later in the night, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce ask for a match with Liv Morgan, who was coming off a fresh win over Billie Kay. The tantalizing twins get their match, but Liv Morgan needs a partner.

What I am seeing in NXT right now is not extremely worrisome, but it does need to be noticed. Is WWE not bringing up The Revival because they have no depth? Are Billie Kay and Peyton Royce fighting against Liv Morgan because they think Nikki Cross and Ember Moon should fight the champion? Two of these questions are easy to answer and they are both a resounding yes. I feel for The Revival because they have done and won everything NXT has to offer that team. There is nothing else to accomplish and they would be 1,000 times more entertaining and interesting than The Vaudevillians, Slater/Rhyno, The Ascension and Breezango. It may not be “developmental” to some people, but it still really is. Timing is everything for talent. What better time than now for “Top Guys.”

The women have talent. Every single one of them bring something to the table. I agree with how they are booking these women right now. Royce will likely get a shot before her counterpart on Asuka, but they need to focus on an athletic Ember Moon and a creatively insane Nikki Cross. That intrigues me more, right now, for championship storylines. Either way, I doubt any of them beat Asuka.
