Isenberg Reacts: WWE RAW “3 Different Shows in 3 Hours”

HOUR THREE OF MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS

chris-jericho-2-5.jpg

The Festival of Friendship had Vegas dancers, a $7,000 sculpture from Guggenheim and a wonderful painting of Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho touching fingers. It also had the return of Gillberg, whom Kevin Owens attacked and laid waste to. Kevin Owens thought both men were going to beat up Goldberg together and seemed upset. Jericho talks about their friendship and says this past year has been one of the best of his life in WWE. Kevin Owens says sorry and then gives him a gift. It’s a new list, but a List of KO and Chris Jericho’s name is on it. Kevin Owens assaults his former best friend, throwing him all around the arena and through the Jeritron. He leaves Jericho lifeless on the mat and walks away.

As much as we hate to see the break-up, it was time. WOW! This was intense and an excellent way of WWE to still find a way to swerve us when we knew something like this was coming. It actually makes sense now that Goldberg becomes champion (which I still do not like as a fan) and then have Jericho vs. Owens with no title on the line. I would love to see Jericho cause a DQ and then fight Owens for the title, but that may be unlikely. Either way, so much sympathy Jericho in this excellent segment that lasted 20 minutes and kept everyone captivated. You knew they were trying to outdo The Rock and Mick Foley’s segment from the 90’s.

Cesaro defeated Enzo Amore in a pretty quick bout that did nothing for Enzo. I love Enzo and Cass, but they have to start piling up wins or they are just going to be a very fun, not believable, tag team. I would love them to earn some wins and not always look like an underdog team. Either way, I do think they get a great WrestleMania spot this year. They generate so much in merchandise that WWE would be extremely stupid not to capitalize on them this year in Orlando.

Top rope hurricanranna by Bayley for another near fall! Dana Brooke runs to the ring, but Bayley knocks her off the apron. Bayley locks in the figure four! Dana Brooke pokes Bayley in the eyes as the Referee has her back turned. Sasha Banks runs down to the ring and hits Brooke with her crutch. Flair locks in the Figure Eight. As the Referee has his back turned Banks hits Charlotte with her crutch. Bayley hits the Bayley to Belly for the win!

Why did WWE decide to make this championship change tonight? That is the biggest question coming out of this main event. Another title changes hands and another loss for Charlotte on RAW. Okay, keep her Pay-Per-View streak in tact, but I still have no clue why every month they are switching titles on these women. Sorry to say, but Bayley is not ready. You should have saved her moment for WrestleMania or the night after.

Do we really get Naomi and Bayley as champions heading into WrestleMania? The shock value was there, but a friend of mine and I made a great point. You will most likely have or have had every major championship change hands in the span of 2-3 months. That is not a good sign of the development and trust of your full-time guys.
