Bobby Roode Finds Danger in Kassius Ohno

After a really good main event against No Way Jose, Bobby Roode went back into the ring to attack him some more. Enter Kassius Ohno, who makes his return to NXT after three years. Roode asks him who he is to interrupt the champion, while Ohno talks about doing everything around the world and he wants the NXT Championship. Roode gets into the ring, chop blocks him and takes him down. Ohno fights back and hits a few stiff elbow shots to the face and then a back body drop. Roode retreats and Ohno stands tall in the ring.

A returning face, but one that the “NXT” brand these days did not become too accustomed with. I think Kassius Ohno can succeed in this environment now, unlike years ago when it was a much different model. I will make my judgment on him at a later date, but Bobby Roode now has ANOTHER credible main event level guy to work with. Did he come back because Triple H saw a depleted roster? Will that roster thin even more when Shinsuke Nakamura is called up to the main roster? Whatever the answer is, this is the right decision to bring someone like this back. He has his following, a new and great theme song and a chant that the crowd can get behind. We all know what talent and a chant can do for a guy. Day one and he connects with the crowd. Tonight was a big success for NXT.
