Samoa Joe is king of the walk away fake out, but does he have a favorite one?
AEW World Champion Samoa Joe recently spoke with WrestleZone’s Matt Black to promote his role as King Shark in the Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League video game.
Joe was asked about his fake out walk aways (aka “Nope!”) becoming a “signature move” in his matches. A recent one with Jon Cruz went viral because Cruz was seen shrugging in a photo of it; but does he have a favorite one?
“That’s a pretty solid number-one candidate right now, right? I mean, that’s really good. I don’t know why he was so surprised. That’s my only question. He really should have just nodded with acceptance,” Samoa Joe quipped.
“I think that’s kind of leading the pack right now. But I don’t know; the ones that probably are my favorites they’re unfortunately sprinkled on throughout house shows. And AJ Styles is probably the victim of most of them.”
