#5.) vs Johnny Impact – Bound For Glory 2018
The most recent match on this list, Impact Wrestling decided to use the “worked shoot” approach with the Bound For Glory main event. Aries got very personal with Johnny Impact and even mocked his wife Taya Valkyrie during the build. The final press conference before Bound For Glory saw the two get into a war of words, trading jabs that were far from PG. They had to be separated and it led to a much-anticipated main event, where the two put on a fantastic match in front of a sold-out crowd.
The ending of the match, however, was rather bizarre, as Impact pinned him clean to win the title. It was right after this that Aries completely no-sold everything and walked away dejected. It was probably an extension of the “worked shoot” approach Impact took, but the execution wasn’t as good.
