#3.) Shawn Michaels – 1995

To be perfectly frank, the 1995 Royal Rumble was nothing spectacular. However, it was a turning point for the match in a few different ways. For one, Shawn Michaels had one foot on the ground, with many believing that he should have been eliminated. This was the moment were WWE began to use the slogan “Both feet must hit the floor” – to ensure a sense of uniformity.

Michaels also ended up becoming the first person to ever win the Royal Rumble after entering at number one. Although he clocked in only 38 minutes, it was still a career-altering performance for The Heartbreak Kid.
