#3.) Chris Jericho vs Chris Benoit – Royal Rumble 2001
This was one of the matches that happened to be proving ground for both Jericho and Benoit. They weren’t main eventers yet, but that wouldn’t stop them from stealing the show. They had a showdown at the Rumble in an Intercontinental title match and fans knew that it was going to be a classic.
They pulled out all the stops, including iconic spots such as a Walls of Jericho on the top of the ladder and Benoit risking it all. It was a thriller from bell to bell and Jericho would walk out with the title. Benoit came close as ever, but it was Jericho’s time.
