5 Storylines That WWE Cancelled

Whether they’re good or bad, WWE has to constantly churn out various storylines throughout a calendar year. It’s not like every other television show where there’s an offseason and they can plan their story arcs for the coming season or two. Even if you consider WrestleMania the end of the season and the night after as the start of the next one, WWE takes no breaks and has the longest-running weekly episodic television show for a reason.

What many people don’t realize is just how grueling the process of creative is in WWE. Many ex-creative writers have stated that fans never give them their due because there have been multiple great and interesting storylines that have been pitched and rejected. Some were great, some were good and some maybe even terrible.

Naturally, it’s frustrating for any writer to have their ideas constantly shot down by Vince McMahon for some reason or the other. Then, there’s the category of storylines that were crazy enough and almost came to fruition, but were canceled for some reason or the other.
