#4.) Vince McMahon‘s death
This is an angle that had actually begun but was scrapped due to tragic circumstances. In 2007, Vince McMahon went out to cut a promo, said nothing and left. When he entered his limo, it exploded, implying that the Chairman had died. This was set to kick off a major power struggle storyline between Stephanie McMahon, Shane McMahon and the originally planned “illegitimate son” of Vince McMahon – Mr. Kennedy.
It would also have seen Kennedy receive a major push, going all the way to WrestleMania 24 to face Triple H in control of the company. Unfortunately, the tragic Chris Benoit incident happened and the storyline was entirely dropped.
