#3.) Ric Flair

Ric Flair was not just a legendary world champion. He held multiple other titles through his incredible four-decade-long career. One of those titles happens to be the United States Championship, where The Nature Boy had a combined tenure of 700 days across 6 title reigns.

His five title reigns during the late 70s to early 80s saw him defend the title against some of the greatest of all time, including the likes of Ricky Steamboat (years before their famous trilogy), Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka and more. Naturally, Flair was a huge part of elevating the title to a new level.
