5 Best WWE Matches Of 1992

#3.) Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels – Survivor Series

It’s incredible to think that the two would face off years before their rivalry really began. There was a lot of chaos and complication leading up to the match. Michaels was the Intercontinental Champion and prior to that, he had a couple of scheduled opponents that were pulled out due to their WWE release. It was a chaotic time in general, but it was also a time of change.

That major change was Bret Hart as WWE Champion. Having just won the title, Hart put it on the line against a young Michaels and as one could have expected, the pace of the match was far different from what it was when the “bigger” men used to wrestle. While it took some time to take off, it was a very typical Bret Hart classic.

Little did Vince McMahon know that these would be the two stars he would center the company around a few years later. Bret Hart won clean in a fantastic match.
