#4.) “Macho Man” Randy Savage – 254 days

Randy Savage is one of the greatest of all time and for a good reason. Around 1991, Savage was slowly phasing out of programming. He was all set for a huge match against the second biggest star of the company – The Ultimate Warrior and the stakes were made even higher when a retirement stipulation was attached to the match.

The Warrior beat Savage in an incredible match and Savage would retire and reunite with Miss Elizabeth immediately after – in what is perhaps one of the most emotional moments in WrestleMania history. However, later that year, Savage would ask to be reinstated in order to feud with Jake “The Snake” Roberts.

He would end up as World Champion just one WrestleMania after his retirement.
