Until 2019, AJ Styles was Mr. SmackDown for nearly three full years. Not only was he the second draft pick for SmackDown Live in 2016, but he was an instant success right away. Luckily for him, the blue brand needed a top heel and he filled that role perfectly until fans simply couldn’t boo him anymore. SmackDown Live was truly the house that AJ Styles built and he’ll always be viewed as an essential SmackDown star of the modern era.
