Charlotte was fresh off a heel turn after backstabbing Becky Lynch. This resulted in a hot chase for the Divas title by The Irish Lasskicker, where they went head-to-head at the Royal Rumble. They proved to have outstanding chemistry with each other, with a shocking moment of the match coming when Ric Flair forcefully kissed Becky Lynch in order to distract her.
Ultimately, the effort by Becky wasn’t enough as she fell short in capturing the Divas title. Her chase wouldn’t stop, however, as she would chase the title all the way until WrestleMania.
