WWE advertised 70,309 as the official attendance for yesterday’s Super Showdown PPV. It was noted that the Melbourne Cricket Ground can hold 100,024 fans when setup for cricket. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the actual attendance was somewhere in the ballpark of 62,000 fans. It certainly is not unusual for WWE to inflate PPV attendance figures as they have been known to do this on a regular basis.
