Steve Corino No Longer An NXT Coach, Now A SmackDown Live & RAW Producer

Steve Corino has updated his Twitter profile and removed NXT Coach, replacing his previous WWE position with his new one: WWE Producer. According to Mike Johnson of PW Insider, although Corino only recently updated his profile, the move occurred several weeks ago and the former ECW Champion will now book both RAW and SmackDown live events.

According to Johnson, Corino replaces Jamie Noble on the live events team and will work alongside WWE Hall of Famer Michael ‘P.S.’ Hayes and Joey Maloney. Johnson reports that Corino’s new role with the company will be similar to his previous role in NXT, only on a larger scale.

Corino debuted in ECW as a manager in 1998, but transitioned to an in-ring role, capturing the ECW Championship in 2000. Corino enjoyed runs in both TNA and Ring of Honor before retiring from in-ring competition in 2016. Upon retirement, Corino accepted an NXT coaching position with WWE, signing a multi year deal in 2017.
