While they were rumored to be in Mexico, few thought we would see The Young Bucks in a title match tonight. However, that’s exactly what happened during AAA’s Rey de Reyes 2019 event. Directly after the team of Fenix and Pentagon Jr. defeated Los Mercenarios (Texano Jr. and Rey Escorpion) for the AAA World Tag Team Championship, they were challenged by the All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice Presidents and Konnan.

An impromptu title defense directly followed. Both of the Lucha Bros were tired from their previous match, and the Bucks took advantage. They were in control the entire time, and then won the AAA World Tag Team Championship off their Double Or Nothing opponents.
