Update On John Cena’s Role At WrestleMania 35, Lars Sullivan’s Return Timetable; Note On WWE Return To Saudi Arabia

According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, John Cena‘s WrestleMania plans are being closely guarded, but he is sure to be on WrestleMania 35.

Cena’s name has not been mentioned on WWE TV about appearing on the show, but it was noted (as of press time) that he’s not going to be involved with the Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin match, despite the fans being vocal about wanting that outcome. It was speculated that both Cena could have something to do with Elias’ performance, but whatever his plans are have been kept secret.

Cena’s original opponent for the event, Lars Sullivan, is said to be returning ‘imminently,’ but it was stated that this does not confirm he’d appear on any of this week’s shows.

Additionally, the Observer is reporting the previously reported May 3rd event date in Saudi Arabia appears to be pushed back to June 7th. The event has not been officially announced yet, but recent court filings revealed the company’s planned live event touring schedule through next year. It was noted that the original date was moved for logistical reasons.
