Velveteen Dream Retains NXT North American Championship Against Tyler Breeze

The NXT North American Championship was up for grabs at TakeOver XXV, and with Velveteen Dream once again determined to come away retaining his championship, he and Tyler Breeze put on quite the show. It all began with their entrances, which saw Breeze come out in very dramatic fashion, complete with a cell phone for taking selfies.

After both superstars made it into the ring, it was a constant battle of who would one up the other. Dream started things off extremely hot, but Breeze quickly countered things by taking down Dream at every turn. While it looked like Breeze might be able to put away Dream, it was Velveteen Dream who showed the type of championship pedigree by capitalizing on Breeze arguing with the referee, dropping him with a slam before landing a brutal Purple Rainmaker on him to retain his title.
