Goldberg made his first appearance on the blue brand tonight ahead of WWE Super ShowDown. The former WWE champion and WCW star is set to face The Undertaker for the first, and possibly only, time.
“Don’t do this to me again,” screamed the former star after the crowd chanted his name. “Now it’s time to get down to business. I’ve been waiting over 20 years to experience what it would be like to be in this ring one-on-one with The Undertaker. Now I finally get that match I always wanted.
“Listening to Taker last night on RAW, he made an interesting point. He said he didn’t want to share the ring with the family man Goldberg, he’d rather share the ring with the icon, the ass kicking machine Goldberg. … I greatly appreciate your advice and what it did was it made a light go off in my head because he’s right. I don’t want the family man Goldberg anywhere near ‘Taker since I feel he’d fall short, so I left his ass at home!

“Friday night, I can guarantee you that you’ll get the Goldberg you’ve been watching for 20 years. … You’re gonna get that ass-kicking Goldberg you asked for. Friday night, once in for all, we’ll find out who the better man is. Because Undertaker, you’re next to rest in peace!”
After finishing, the lights went dark and Undertaker appeared in the ring with Goldberg. Much to his delight, Goldberg decided to stare down “The Dead Man.” It was an epic moment and one that ended after another gong hit and Undertaker disappeared.

“So that’s it?” asked Goldberg. “Friday night it is then. Big man, bring your jockstrap and tighten that son of bitch up tight because it’s going to be a ride!”
