205 Live Results (06/18/19): Oney Lorcan Takes On Ariya Daivari

Tonight’s 205 Live was all about revenge and retribution, as the main event was announced to be Ariya Daivari taking on Oney Lorcan. Prior to the show, 205 Live General Manager announced that Akira Tozawa and Drew Gulak would be taking on Tony Nese for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. After last week’s cliffhanger ending, it seemed like it was the only suitable solution that Maverick could come up with.

The first match of the night saw Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik of the Lucha House Party took on The Singh Brothers, in an attempt to gain some retribution from their ongoing feud.

During the match, the Singh Brothers once again looked to have the upper hand, but both Metalik and Dorado weren’t ready to suffer another loss. After some back-and-forth fighting from the two, the Lucha House Party gained some huge momentum at the hands of Metalik, but unfortunately for the duo, it was the Singh Brothers who came out on top, thanks to some crafty distractions from the Brothers.

The second match of the night saw Brian Kendrick taking on newcomer Russ Taylor. Although Taylor landed a nasty forearm to Kendrick, he was no match for the legendary superstar. Kendrick made absolutely short work of Taylor, reminded everyone just who he is when it comes to the 205 Live roster.

When it came time for the main event, things were going very well until Ariya Daivari took things a bit too far. While Oney Lorcan was the one who came into the match looking for retribution, Daivari ended up disqualifying himself after a hard-fought match. Thanks to the use of a steel chair, Daivari disqualified himself, and proceeded to deliver a nasty beatdown to Lorcan, throwing him into the steel chairs and using everything in his sights to attack Lorcan.
