Indie scene mainstay and former Motor City Machine Gun Alex Shelley has returned to Ring of Honor. During a promo segment between Jay Lethal and Matt Taven, Shelley made his presence felt. The former ROH Tag Team Champion said he was in the “wrong place at the wrong time” throughout his career and that he now wants to go after both Lethal and Taven in pursuit of the ROH Championship.
Shelley was last seen in ROH in 2018 with a possibly career-ending injury. He states here that he was careful not to mention retirement in his last run with the company, and that he wants to use his veteran status in the industry to jet to the top of Ring of Honor. If his wish is granted, he’s sure to face the winner of Lethal vs. Taven at Manhattan Mayhem.
